This is a list of some of my favorite HBMC media in no particular order. I’m cautious to call these “recommendations” as they’re just what I personally enjoy, so keep that in mind. You might love what’s here or enjoy none of it. I don’t look at much English content anymore so most of what’s here is going to be natively Japanese, but it may also have an English translation. If it’s not marked as English, assume it is in Japanese or another non-English language.
I will not be putting any direct links to where pirated content can be found. If you want something you’ll have to find it on your own or, better yet, buy it officially from a vendor like DLSite or FANZA.
If you want a more general list of where to find HBMC content, check out the resources page.
General Art
This is for any art that doesn’t have a manga-style layout. Single images, sequences, 3D art, etc. all go under this category.
2D Art
- Basically any art by 書記隊 (Utsuro Butai)1
- Draws some of the highest-quality HBMC art out there. While they do have explicit content available, most of their art is a textbook example of how no NSFW elements are needed to make amazing HBMC content.
3D Art
This is for art generated with various modeling software, like COM3D2. This does not include any real-life (“3D”) art.
- Basically any art by M4MC
- Their art is almost exactly what I look for in HBMC content. Mix of both NSFW and SFW content, all of it excellent.
Manga/Doujin
This is for manga-style art, meaning it will generally follow a panel-based layout and may have multiple chapters.
- Most things by トラペゾヘドロン (Trapezohedron)
- Focuses on “realistic” hypnosis. “Realistic” in this case means more traditional methods like a pendant, coin, or just whispering. Has depictions from both the subject and the hypnotist’s perspective. Most stories contain some amount of futanari.
Games
This is for games in any format. “Big-name” releases (longer, more expensive, possibly higher quality) have been separated from “indie” releases (shorter, less expensive or free, possibly lower quality), but being in one category or another does not necessarily guarantee certain traits. Read more about the differences here.
Big-name Releases
- Basically anything from the 操心術 (Soushinjutsu) series by Studio Jyaren2
- Some games contain incest or loli-type characters. In general, these are avoidable.
- 電波の奴隷 (Denpa no Dorei) by Studio Jyaren
- Also known as 電波の虜 (Denpa no Toriko) before the name changed due to a new law(?).
Indie Releases
- Basically anything from circle 有機野菜畑 (Yuuki Yasai Batake)3
- Incredibly diverse HBMC situations with multi-step corruption (mental and/or physical) scenes. Very cheap games with lots of high-quality event scenes, highly recommend.
Short Stories (Japanese)
This is for short stories or fanfiction. I basically don’t read any text-based content in English, so expect all of these to be in Japanese. There may be translations of a few of these which you can find here.
- メイド服の催眠ドール by びーろく (circa 2001)
- Other chapters from the series also very good.
- Utsuro Butai actually started as a manipper many many years ago before moving on to creating CM3D2 content and finally moving to the 2D art they draw today. You’ll have to look on archives or blogs if you want to find their older content though, as none of it is on their Pixiv anymore. ↩︎
- Studio Jyaren goes all the way back to the early 2000’s and focuses solely on HBMC content. The last game they released was in 2016, so unfortunately we may never get another one from them again. ↩︎
- Also known individually as 有機オクラ (Yuuki Okura). ↩︎
